As you can see in this photo Samuel is a terribly neglected little brother. Notwithstanding we decided to celebrate the lad's first birthday today. His three sisters and brother were more excited about today than he was. The moment he opened his eyes this morning he was serenaded by the quartet. I am not sure he understands what all this means but I know what it means to us. We are getting old!!! LOL. Our little man is getting older and time is definitely moving fast. As I write this he is still awake (apparently determined to celebrate well into the morning hours) "discovering" DVDs and CDs and kissing his mother gently on the cheek. That's our boy.

OK, call it a comeback
It has been over a month now since my last post so I guess this is officially a comeback. Here is a picture of our little man on Christmas Eve trying to walk for the first time. Four days from now it will have been a year since Samuel was born. That's incredible. One year ago today Becki wasn't even having contractions as Sam was enjoying his last days nestled in her womb. Now he's running around trying to talk and making his little trucks go vroom. Our God is truly an awesome God.
